Behind the Brand
Neuro makes functional gum and mints (caffeine, L-theanine, and B vitamins in a single piece) built for people who want energy and focus without the crash, the can, or the cold brew.
Founder-led and science-backed, the brand earned a loyal following and real cultural momentum in a category crowded with shots, powders, and energy drinks.
But Neuro had outgrown the way it talked about itself. It had built its early audience around optimization for a mostly male audience who wanted to dial in.
The next chapter was bigger: a lifestyle brand with a much broader audience, including millennial and Gen Z women looking for something that fit the way they actually lived. The story was ready, but their site hadn’t caught up.
A Brand With a Point of View, and a Site That Didn't Show It.
Neuro had built one of the most compelling stories in functional wellness, but the brand matured and the digital experience no longer reflected what the brand had become, or where they wanted to go.
-
Messaging needed to lead with experience vs. ingredients.
-
Their growing catalog began to create decision fatigue for consumers.
-
The buy box needed to provide clarity.
-
The brand's core belief around “good energy” needed to move to the forefront.
The Landing Page Proof Ahead of a Larger Redesign
Our team designed and tested two landing pages and against the existing PDP to validate the direction with real data before committing to a larger full-site redesign.
The hypothesis: that leading with emotion and experience, rather than formulation and function, would convert better. We wanted data before decisions.

The Solution
With the direction validated, we moved to the rest of the site. Rather than treating the redesign as a series of page-level fixes, Bear approached the site as an expression of a single idea: the world doesn't need more energy, it needs good energy. That belief shaped every decision: visual, verbal, and structural.
What we set out to do:
-
Translate the brand's "good energy" platform into a digital experience you could feel before you ever bought anything.
-
Shift messaging from ingredient-listing to emotion-first storytelling.
-
Reduce friction and cognitive load across navigation, product discovery, and offer logic.
-
Build a scalable platform to support rapid catalog growth and ongoing conversion rate optimization (CRO).
Good Energy. On repeat.
How We Brought "Good Energy" to Life
Content strategy built on six pillars: every module on every page mapped to a clear job, from defining the energy experience to reinforcing social confidence.

Emotion-first verbal identity: shifted from ingredient-listing to scannable, mobile-first storytelling built for sub-minute sessions.

Visual direction that cuts through the noise: bold typography and lifestyle imagery that resolve the category's chaos into the clarity of a single piece of gum.

Product UX without the decision fatigue: streamlined navigation, cleaner bundle logic, and a buy box rebuilt around subscription clarity.

Social proof as brand storytelling: ambassadors integrated as evidence of a movement, not endorsements.

Rebuy & Personalized Growth
Rebuy became a core revenue driver for Neuro, powering Smart Cart, checkout, and merchandising across the site. In the past 30 days alone, Rebuy generated over $101,000 in revenue for Neuro, accounting for more than 11% of total sales.
What we did:
-
AI Product Recommendations: Neuro's top-performing Rebuy widget adapts to where each shopper is in their journey, guiding new visitors with a curated mix of bestsellers and recently viewed items, then shifting to fully AI-personalized recommendations once a cart is underway. It's the single largest driver of attributed Rebuy revenue on the site in the past 30 days.

-
In-Checkout Carousel: Added a recommendations carousel directly in checkout, becoming the second-highest revenue driver among all Rebuy widgets.

-
Cart Recommendations & "Complete the Look": Layered in-cart product recommendations alongside a "Complete the Look" widget on product pages, encouraging customers to round out their order before they ever reach checkout.

-
Post-Purchase Offers: Built a post-purchase offer discounting from compare-at price on Energy variants, giving customers an incentive to add on immediately after checkout.
Visually.io & Always-On Testing
Visually brought speed and certainty to Neuro’s redesign process, with uplifts of 32% in Add to Cart rate and 10% in Conversion Rate.
The AI-powered testing platform made it easy for the team to test, learn, and iterate continuously without relying on engineering. Each insight helped fine-tune the redesign based on real customer data, so underperforming ideas were caught before they went live.
What we did:
-
Direction Validation: Ran Phase 1 landing-page and PDP tests against live paid social traffic to validate the new brand direction before the full build.

-
Always-On Optimization: Built an always-on testing program so Neuro could keep optimizing modules, messaging, and offers post-launch on their own.

-
Learning Loop: Implemented test insights directly into the Phase 2 design system and content strategy.

Good energy, scaled
The engagement is built to keep moving. Phase 1 proved the brand direction, Phase 2 turned it into a robust design system and content strategy, and Phase 3 showed the platform could execute fast; shipping seasonal launch moments like Memorial Day and the watermelon flavor drop on a tight timeline.
