Vontier
On the Fast Track to Website Launch
New Public Company, New Website
Vontier formed in early 2020 after Fortive, a diversified industrial growth company and Bear Group client, announced that it would be spinning out five of its operating companies into a new public company.
The Vontier team wanted a responsive site that could be easily managed by staff while providing a seamless experience for viewers between desktop and mobile. We pulled together a team consisting of Design Hovie Studios and Vitamin C Creative to support the new brand and meet their fast-approaching deadline.
Branding & Design
With a set of brand guidelines and design direction for the new corporate identity, Hovie got to work on design and UX for the site, coming up with multiple layout options for the team to consider. Meanwhile, Vitamin C Creative began forming messaging, content, as well as organizing the flow of pages for the new site.

Built on Drupal 8
Similar to Fortive (and Danaher, which Fortive previously spun out of), we built the new site using the Drupal 8 content management system. Drupal provides an excellent framework for enterprise situations, where custom content types and unique page layouts are needed.
The Vontier site features integrations with an investor portal, real-time stock updates, and integration with a jobs portal. The design is continuous in each primary navigation section, with an “opener” for more information on specific details, for example in the Businesses section.
The Vontier website fully launched in late summer of 2020, in time for the company to go public.
