Richärd Kennedy Architects
Constructing a New Drupal 9 Website
Meet Richärd Kennedy Architects
Richärd Kennedy Architects is an integrated architecture and interior design firm based out of Phoenix, Arizona. Since 1996, they’ve cultivated a stunning portfolio of public and private institution projects, which includes work for government, higher education, civic, academic research laboratories, and commercial clients. Behind this firm is the idea that sustainable design can permeate every level of work.
The task at hand was combining artistic vision with development capabilities and combining the two for one stunning, well-performing website.

Design & Content Phases
We connected with Richärd Kennedy Architects through longtime design partner, Liska + Associates. The Liska team kicked things off with planning, wireframes, design, and copy refinement. Working collaboratively, several aesthetically-focused design comps were created and it was time to move to the development phase and bring the design to fruition.
Future-Forward Design + Drupal 9
Richärd Kennedy Architects needed a website that would showcase their work and artistic vision. Drupal 9 content management system (CMS) would give them the custom brand and user experience they wanted on a platform that will stand up to the test of time.
The site needed to illustrate a variety of content types, such as design showcases, portfolio pages, and staff-focused pages. We started with the base headers and footers and moved into the core of Drupal to bring the rest of the designs to life.
To help their team learn and maintain their new website, we prepared instructional documentation and led training for the RKA team to ensure routine updates are as easy for them as possible.

Aesthetically-Focused Elements
The new website showcases tasteful interactivity features, such as intricate scroll options and animation. In addition, the site features drone shots that beautifully capture their architectural style.

The new Richard Kennedy Architects website launched in June 2022.
