Meet Jewett Cameron
Founded in 1953, Jewett Cameron is an Oregon-based company that creates premier fencing, pet home, and outdoor living products. Across their brands, they focus on crafting thoughtful, functional, and sustainable products that their customers can count on for many years to come.
The Project
When they came to us, Jewett Cameron wanted to increase their online sales but their existing ecommerce platform—Magento M1 Open Source—was holding them back.
Jewett Cameron is a “house of brands” which operate as different lines of business. They wanted to consolidate multiple domains and storefronts into a single experience to better showcase their products, and optimize their website to help with conversions. In addition, Jewett Cameron wanted to add subscription options for customers, simplify navigation, and improve the website user experience so it was easy for customers to find and discover products.
The Build
Bear Group guided the Jewett Cameron team to migrate to the cloud-based Magento Commerce platform to meet their ecommerce needs with an easy-to-use back-end interface.
Their team would be able to take advantage of the multi-store infrastructure native to Magento to support the sub-brands, AWS-based cloud hosting, and a B2B account infrastructure that helped to streamline processes and improve the customer experience.
The Design
Jewett Cameron used this opportunity to introduce a new visual brand for their company to reflect their vision, help unify their house of brands, and help them to stand out from competitors.
They worked with Design Hovie Studios, one of our design partners, to create a new visual online brand for Jewett-Cameron including a full stack of visual elements to enrich the site. A new site architecture and UX made it easier for customers to find products within categories and updated photography helped their products shine.
Launch
The Jewett Cameron site launched in early 2020 with an exciting new look and robust online storefront for their growing business.
