A Custom Drupal Website
For more than 20 years, the Georgia Center for Nonprofits has served as a cornerstone of support for Georgia's nonprofit and philanthropic community by delivering a wide range of services and support. Through a powerful mix of advocacy, solutions for nonprofit effectiveness, and insight building tools, GCN provides nonprofits, board members, and donors with the tools they need to strengthen organizations that make a difference on important causes throughout Georgia.
A Website Refresh
Bear Group was brought into the web project as developers on a fresh design by Liska + Associates and the GCN design team. We used Drupal for the content management system. The Resources section creates umbrellas of topic areas, such as Fundraising and Development.
We used views to display tagged relevant content on the umbrella pages. In Articles, integration with Apache Solr provides relevant content via contextual search, automatically displaying it on the sidebar. We coded a custom event calendar that showcases three months at a glance with a custom module. We completed a single-sign-on integration with Member-suite, which manages member accounts and registration for the website, allowing us to designate much of the content as member-only.
