The Seattle Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) is the leading professional association for architects in the Northwest. They run events and classes, and advocate for design excellence.
They came to Bear wanting a new web site to help keep their constituency informed, but had also decided to move their entire back-office operation to the web. This meant a new event registration system, e-commerce system, job board, CMS, full CRM capabilities, and many community features.
We started by meeting with the management team to design, scope and draft business requirements for a new online system to support their organization. After approval of the plan, we provided the coding, content coordination and project management to see the site through to completion.
A unique feature of this project was the 2,500 existing pages of static HTML content. AIA had built a strong search engine presence over the years, accounting for 75-80% of the daily traffic. We migrated all content into a content management system and maintained all URLs between systems, creating a strong new site without losing any of the old site’s benefits.
