Thanks for visiting our site! The idea for the business was many years in the making. In working on 200+ marketing/technology projects with Microsoft, as well as on three startup companies before and after getting my MBA, I saw an obvious gap in the services being delivered by technology companies, who did not also understand the marketing and business fundamentals of their clients. I also became increasingly excited by the power of emergent open-source Content Management System (CMS) technologies and e-commerce tools, especially the Drupal platform. In January 2007 I founded Bear Group to deliver online solutions for small- and medium-sized businesses, for whom the web offers a tremendous growth opportunity. Since then we have brought a tailored open-source experience to dozens of businesses.

Over time we have evolved to work with many different types of clients and within a few different models. We build web sites for clients that range from straightforward to extremely complex, we partner with design firms, we offer Drupal consulting, and we provide dedicated development teams for especially large, long-term projects. We focus on 2-3 larger projects at a time, while we provide ongoing consulting and support for all existing clients.

We are based in Seattle but work with clients across the US. Between my team and our partners, we have content professionals, PHP gurus, MySQL database designers, Magento Commerce experts, graphic designers, Drupal developers, and CSS wizards, among others. At the heart of everything we do are strong documentation and client communication. We challenge our clients with fresh perspective, we go deep on every idea, and we push ourselves to deliver innovative solutions for all our clients.
